Reducing Information Pollution

Thomas Rachfall is a PhD Student at the Glasgow Caledonian University. His research concept is formulated around the notion that the spread of ICT has an impact on the quantity of information and therefore leads to Information Overload. A special focus in this research should focus on how the “production” of information could be contained.
Prior to his current research Thomas worked as a Senior Consultant at Dressler & Partner. He served for national and international clients in the fields of Shared Services, Business Process Outsourcing and Offshoring. Additionally he advised clients in benchmarking studies und process analysis.
Thomas Rachfall holds a diploma in Business Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin and did a Master of Engineering at the Beuth Hochschule Berlin.

The Information Overload Research Group’s Overloaded 2012 un-conference, a lively one-day gathering of information overload crusaders from a diversity of domains, was a complete success.
