More than 25,000 people signed up for Infomagical, our project designed to make information overload disappear. Using either email or text messages, we issued five challenges to participants over five days – single-tasking, tidying our phones, avoiding meaningless memes, delving deeper into conversations, and setting a larger “rule” or “mantra” for information consumption. Texters got reminders through the day and check-ins at night.
