Martin Bariff is an Associate Professor of Information Management at the Stuart School of Business, Illinois Institute of Technology. Previously, he was a faculty member at The Wharton School, The Weatherhead School (CWRU), and GSB (University of Chicago).
His research interests include IT impacts on enterprise strategy, business processes, and performance; behavioral decision theory; and information integrity. Teaching interests further include data mining and project management.
Professor Bariff is treasurer of the Chicago chapter of Society for Information Management (SIM) and the e-Business section of INFORMS. He is a contributor to the Business Process Management Common Body of Knowledge and Chicago chapter officer of ABPMP. He is a founder and Board member of the Information Integrity Coalition. He has published in a variety of journals and been a consultant to industry.
His interest in this group is to explore manual and computer-based approaches to improve human attention and cognitive processes for making better judgments and decisions.
